Welcome to all new photographers!
When I first started with photography, I was only 15 years old... you are never to young to start! First thing you have to do before you buy a entry level, or advanced camera (depending on your financial state) you have to see whether or not taking pictures of... ummm... stuff are for you.It does not matter which type of camera you use to start taking photos, as long as you start to understand the basic concept of photography. I do not mean the light and the composition and blah blah blah, but I mean the passion that drives it. This is something I can not teach you, it is something you have to find out yourself. As a young teenager saw the magic of photography. Ok, my photos were terrible, but to me it was more than light portraying a picture. It was a trapped memory caught on a paper (these days it would be on a screen hehe).
After the passion has been aroused, you can start getting technical. My first rule of photography, and this is the one that separates a good photo from a bad. Composition on a normal human portrait. Newbies tend to make the face of a human the center of the photograph. THIS IS WRONG! If you do that, you leave a huge gap of nothingness above the head, leaving bottom detail. Make sure that the head is the top of the photo with a small gap separating the head from the edge of the photo. Your pictures will in prove ten fold!
These are enough inspiring words to get you started as a new photographer. Have fun and any questions, please ask them. Keep your eye on this blog for further info about photography. I will also upload some of my own photos and tell the tale of what I have done to take them (lighting, composition etc.) Remember, a memory may be forgotten, unless you took a photo!
